Recently, both Teacher Du and Tumutanzi have published articles about ChatGPT and blog writing. There have also been some comments in blog webmaster groups about using ChatGPT to help with writing and generating content. In my opinion, although artificial intelligence can improve efficiency, reduce time costs, and bring new writing inspiration to blog writing, we should not let artificial intelligence interfere too much with blog writing or rely too heavily on it.
Firstly, we need to note that artificial intelligence has very limited ability in knowledge creation, and most of the answers it provides are based on integrating existing information from the internet. The previous AI poet Xiaobing only assembled some poetic imagery. From this, it can be seen that only humans have the ability to innovate and create, at least for now.
In Professor Ma Yunchi's paper "The Culture and Social Significance of Blogs," blogs have a deconstructive and constructive effect on society, specifically by bringing new ideas that challenge traditional values. Blogs herald the arrival of the "me media" era, where every citizen can be a journalist and every blog is a media outlet. If blogs are to bring new ideas, the bloggers themselves need to be able to innovate and express their thoughts (which I call "Express Yourself"). However, does artificial intelligence have its own thoughts? (It may have emotions, but it probably doesn't have thoughts yet.) Do the blog posts written by artificial intelligence based on existing culture and values have a deconstructive and constructive effect on society? The answer to this question is obvious.
In Professor Hu Min's paper "The Dual Psychological Redemption of Blog Writing," blogs can help blog owners and readers release their stress and find comfort and peace in their hearts. When I write blogs, I also have a similar feeling of emotional release and personal expression. As mentioned earlier, artificial intelligence writing expresses the thoughts of others. Therefore, when artificial intelligence interferes too much with blog writing, the content of the blog loses the author's self, and readers will not resonate with the blog posts, thus losing the psychological redemption effect that blogs have on blog owners and readers.
Furthermore, let's consider what those who use artificial intelligence to generate content for blogs are thinking. Blogs, as an internet phenomenon that currently seems somewhat outdated, should be used to guide blog owners in writing and help them express themselves and exercise their thinking. How can writing blogs be about saving time and energy? If you want to discuss trivial content, it's better to go to forums like Zhihu. Blogs have low traffic (or rather, no one reads them compared to other platforms), so if generated articles are used to cope with visitors at this time, it would be better not to publish the blog post at all.
In a rapidly developing society with an accelerated pace of life, it is crucial for us to write our own blogs and let them play a role as spiritual fortresses in our lives. We should write our thoughts on our blogs, showcase our writing style, and prevent artificial intelligence from excessively interfering with our writing.
